Virtual Talk: Han Na Jung. How a Foreign Dental Hygienist made an Impact in the World of Dentistry.

16 May, 2021 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Han Na Jung  is RDH, MSDH is a clinician, entrepreneur, educator, and author. Han-Na received her dental hygiene education in both South Korea and the United States. She learned English while attending college in Korea and did an internship at a dental office in Sydney, Australia. Her experiences in Australia had a huge impact on her professional career later.

Han-Na is currently working as a registered dental hygienist at Woo Young Chang and David Rothkopf DDS in Washington D.C. She co-authored two dental English books, “This is Native Dental English (2018)”, and “Become a Master of Dental English (2012)”. These books have been used as a textbook in Korean dental hygiene programs.

With her clinical and educational experiences in Korea, Australia, and the U.S., she founded a company called Dentilingual in 2019 to provide online dental English courses for Korean dental professionals. Her clients are not only in Korea, but also in the U.S., Canada, Vietnam and Singapore. Since 2019, she has influenced many dental professionals and dental hygiene students via dental English courses and webinars. Her goal is to improve their confidence and communicating skills in dental English so that they can perform comfortable dental services to
foreign patients.

Han-Na currently serves as President of the District of Columbia Dental Hygienists’ Association (2019-2021). She is the recipient of the 2020 American Dental Hygienists’ Association’s Esther Wilkins Future Leader Award.
